Tasmania Photography Tour

Caves, Rainforests, and Rare Species

The Tasmania Photography Tour takes you across the Bass Strait from mainland Australia into one of the world’s most diverse and visually concentrated landscapes for photography. Tasmania is a place where a rich collage of alpine mountains, dense rainforest, wild coastal plains, and striking beaches all exist within just a few hours of each other—compressed into an island that feels untouched and elemental.

What makes this tour in Tasmania truly extraordinary for photographers is not just its variety, but the intensity of its contrasts. In a matter of hours, you can move from mist rolling through ancient rainforest to the raw edges of the Southern Ocean, where waves crash against sculpted coastlines and granite boulders catch the last light of day. It is this constant shift in light, weather, and atmosphere that defines the photographic experience here.

This photography tour is designed to fully immerse you in the island’s remarkable diversity. You’ll explore the quiet alpine wilderness of Cradle Mountain and the glowing shores of the Bay of Fires. Every step of the journey is shaped around uninterrupted photographic opportunities in some of the Southern Hemisphere’s most compelling landscapes.

Wildlife encounters are seamlessly woven into the experience. Kangaroos and wombats roam freely across open landscapes, and after dark, little blue penguins emerge from the sea to return ashore—each moment unfolding in settings that feel both remote and cinematic.
