Tanzania Photography Tour 2015

Tanzania

March 13–27, 2015
with Perry Conway

Lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, leopards, rhinos, gazelles, and immense migrating herds of wildebeest and zebras. These large mammals—set against a backdrop of unrivaled natural beauty—are what make Tanzania one of the greatest wildlife photography destinations on the planet. We’ve designed a photo tour that takes full advantage of the photographic opportunities this wildlife-rich country has to offer.

Our Tanzania photo tour offers participants 11 full days of shooting in the country’s most desirable locations—the Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and the legendary Serengeti National Park. Past participants rave about the fact that we only put 3 photographers in each vehicle (vehicles designed to carry 9 passengers) giving them a spacious platform from which to shoot and ample room for their gear.

Trip leader Perry Conway has led numerous photo tours to Tanzania and he’ll make sure your trip is thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding, and that you return home with an amazing portfolio of wildlife and landscape images!

This is an amazing photo shoot with wonderful access to human- habituated bears at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. Our exclusively- chartered, cozy lodge is strategically placed, offering close-range photo opportunities of bears right outside our doors.

Using ATVs, our small groups of eight participants sets out each day to photograph bears as they fish for salmon in the shallows. We often see large males clash with one another, females with cubs in tow and lone bears silhouetted in the shimmering reflections as they forage on the beach.

For bear photography, this trip is as good as it gets. But bears aren’t are only subjects. We’ll also see a variety of wildlife and have time to photograph some of the magnificent Alaskan scenery that surrounds us.

The hottest subject for wildlife photography these days is, without doubt, the jaguars in Brazil's Pantanal! Photos of these remarkable big cats in the wild were almost unheard of only a few years ago. Now, with a large population of cats habituated to the human traffic of fishermen, eco tourists and photographers on the Cuiabá River, a unique opportunity has arisen for photographers to obtain amazing images of this largest and most spectacular American cat!

Our 5 tours scheduled for 2015 provide a wide selection of prime time jaguar photography dates to choose among. In addition, a diverse wealth of photogenic tropical wildlife—from endangered giant otters to extraordinary hyacinth macaws—are among our numerous subjects for South America's most spectacular wildlife shoot.
