Mehmet Özbalci

Mehmet Özbalci is an exceptional English-speaking guide thoroughly versed in Turkish history and culture. An excellent photographer himself, Mehmet has been organizing and leading cultural expeditions since 1982 and photo tours since 1991. He has outstanding logistics knowledge of both the iconic and little-known photo locations in Turkey and its surrounding countries. 

His charming, humorous, and personable demeanor makes it easy for our travelers to meet and photograph the local people and visit “behind the scenes” locations throughout your tour.

He is always happy to share his knowledge of photography, suggestions for compositions, camera gear and image processing.  His photography is used in numerous digital platforms as well as printed guidebooks, posters, newspapers, and travel and airline magazines.

Mehmet lives in Istanbul with his wife and three children.
